My Club Penguin Story

2007 - 2015

I've been playing Club Penguin since December 2007, when my sisters friend first introduced the game to me and my sister. Immediately my sister and I made accounts and bought memberships. For the first year or so I was pretty addicted to the game. [Stuff might be fuzzy since I was 7 at the time when I first joined.] My older sister on the other hand lost interest in the game, and ended up quitting CP. Then 2009 came around the corner and I made another account, Firepup16. I use both accounts now and then, but I use Firepup16 more often then Brice1624 currently. Anyway, I got bored of the game, and became inactive during the Summer of 2009. Once I came back, I was fairly addicted again, and my sister even decided to go on her penguin once in a while. I even had quite a few girlfriends on CP around this time. ;) When 2010 hit I became full on addicted to the game, logging on probably every day. I have not been inactive ever since then. Fun Fact - I haven't missed a pin since October 2010. ;)

In the beginning of 2013 I realized that in order for me to continue playing the game I love, I would have to do something different. Something that would help me connect to others that played Club Penguin. Thankfully my friend Pup1one told me that I should join Twitter, so on February 18th, 2013, I did just that! :) That's when my Club Penguin experience got even better! I made a Youtube account in May, and during summer vacation in Canada, I reached 1,000 followers on my Twitter account. I was beyond happy, and I'm still grateful! Finally, in September of 2013 I created this blog! (: It was fun at first, but even now I still don't post that often, and I get bored with it easily. Recently, I've been getting bored of Club Penguin too... Over the past year me and probably a lot of other CP players have been debating on quitting Club Penguin. The game itself isn't as fun as it once was, and since the focus of Club Penguin is on mobile, the web version is very buggy and the parties aren't that entertaining. I'm hoping the game will eventually become the game it was when I first started, but sadly it probably won't, and that's why I'm probably going to end up leaving before I turn 18. That's not the only reason I may quit CP however. I'm now 15, and I feel a bit old to be playing a children's game. Most people my age wouldn't be playing a virtual game, but like I said, it's apart of my childhood and it's quite addicting if you'd played it for as long as I have. I'm still debating on if I should quit the game now or later, and right now it's later. I love the game too much to quit. The Club Penguin Staff is trying their hardest to make the game entertaining for everyone too, so I'm not really blaming them for me losing interest. Anyway besides all of that, this next year will be my 8th year of playing Club Penguin, and I'm quite excited! Not only that, but it will be Club Penguin's 10th Anniversary as a game. That's quite a long time! :) I'm hoping to play the game for as long as possible, and I'm be quite upset if the game was deleted. Hopefully it won't be. That's pretty much all I have to say about Club Penguin. It may seem short and pointless to some, but I've loved this game and I'll continue to love it some more. Thanks for reading my story.

Waddle on!
